Dining at City O City

For a little Saturday night fun, My sweetie and I went out to dinner at City O’ City and then sang some karaoke. Where such classics were rocked out as Thunderstruck, Feed My Frankenstein, and my personal fav Rebel Yell. “No one talks to Billy Idol that way!” Anyways on to the food.

I got the BBQ plate

Rob got the El Chagall pizza

We shared the red velvet cake for dessert

Everything was delicious! The BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy. The mac and cheese was creamy and had the perfect amount of crunch on top with the panko bread crumbs. And the sauteed greens had a subtle spice to them. The pizza was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. Just the right amount of apricot jam, cheese and olives. The red velvet was lacking a bit of redness, but was sweet and chocolaty. A girl’s best friend.

With a pretty wide variety to choose from, both vegan and vegetarian, I will defiantly be back to try some of their other creations.

Bye Bye bacon!

First time eating breakfast out yesterday morning. Since we didn’t end up going to a vegetarian place, I found my good old friend Bacon staring me in the face. It ended up coming with the plate of food I ordered. Of course I had to give it way but not without a picture and a heavy heart. Bacon I already miss you. Maybe we can be friends again someday. Till then bye bye đŸ˜„

First time out to dinner

So last night was my first night out to eat as a vegetarian. My sweetie and I went to a local Italian restaurant called Pasquini’s Uptown. While there were ton of options I have to admit it was a little weird eating only vegetables in a sandwich.

I ended up getting a vegetarian sub. Pretty darn tasty. It had artichokes, roasted red pepper, red onion, mushroom, roasted eggplant, black olive, green olive, and Italian dressing with melted provolone cheese. Should be a yummy year. 🙂
